In my experience the best thing to do is to create a slick presentation with all the relevant information, about the opportunity, market potential, what you can deliver, while holding back the final details for further discussions. Get businesses to sign a mutual confidentiality agreement before sharing and then go for it. You will soon work out who might be interested in engaging further, which is when you get into sharing more confidential details.
Yes there is some risk, but you won’t know what the feedback is until you start engaging, so its a crucial step.

Create you ideal list of businesses you would engage with, prioritize them, then get started…the first steps is the hardest but takes you closer to opening doors.
