Hi there, I am having issues finding a manufacture for cosmetic brushes. Most I have found are based in China and have been using Alibaba. However, I get bombarded by messages that are not what I am looking for and having communication issues/language barriers. I would appreciate any advice on firstly how to find suppliers and secondly how to negotiate around their MOQ’s.Thanks Jenna

This is really a question relating to exporting, but I couldn’t find this field. I’m wanting to create an export plan to enter offshore markets with a new NZ made and designed product that has been validated in NZ. The product is used in the healthcare/disability sector. I’d be grateful for some help to:- Create criteria of good offshore markets to target for our product- Picking markets where we have the best chance of success- Insight into how offshore healthcare/government organisations runAnyone with experience in healthcare/disability/medical industries in the following markets: AU, US, UK, Canada, Germany would be great. WE are a light gauge steel framing business based in Taupo. Our main customers are in Auckland who urgently require product from us. Our frames are usually delivered by us using our own hiab truck as the frames are too high to be taken by normal freight companies. Can we deliver to Auckland?

Hi there, I am looking for a mentor in the garment industry – ideally someone who has experience manufacturing overseas. Someone I can check in with once in a while and chat through the business plan, as well as my progress. My background is Go-To-Market, however, I am lacking some of the knowledge particularly around the manufacturing process / demand forecasting / logistics. Let me know if someone has any advice for me. I am currently doing the NZ Entrepreneur Program. I signed up for a mentor with them as well, however, the mentorship program is currently parked. I have an opportunity to supply my body care products to a well known and prestigious NZ retailer. My business is quite small and I do not have carefully worded Terms of Trade, or legal help. I also need help with wholesale costing and the TOT, plus advice on growth to fulfil the supply required by this potential customer.

Hi there, we are starting out as a sustainable New Zealand swimwear label. We are currently prototyping our products, we’re working with a swimwear manufacturer in Bali for this process. This question relates to manufacturing in New Zealand. Ideally we would love to be able to manufacture in New Zealand once we go into production, however, from what we have heard so far New Zealand doesn’t have the right machinery needed for swimwear / stretchwear anymore as most large companies e.g lingerie companies e.g. BONDS (that can also cater for underwire etc.) have moved their manufacturing overseas. I am wondering if someone might be able to give me a nudge in the right direction as I am still keen to get our swimwear made in New Zealand. However, would like to work with the right manufacturer who has experience in either the swimwear or lingerie field. Let me know if you know more than I do!
