Kia ora, Is sourcing apparel from china the better option for bang for buck and is there a better way of source goods out of china rather than ordering lots of samples?Trying to get the apparel side of our business more profitable but we also don’t deal in huge quantities. Thanks in advance.

Hi team!I’ve been wanting to set up a platform that shares “Themes” and “Messages” through multiple mediums such as apparel, blogs and podcasts with an aim of growing a community of like minded people who can relate to these messages we share. Each collection will have a different theme with hopes of creating a discussion point, learning from one another and for some to even share their own experiences.”The Layers Platform” is the name of my idea.Layers of clothing with a deeper Layer of meaning behind each collection.I have designed a collection. I have quotes on all of the apparel to start. Right now, I’m struggling with the business side of things. The planning and designs are my strengths and the business side of things I am learning. Is there anything you could suggest me reading, learning from or doing to guide me through this?Thank you!Frazer

Hi there, I launched my online business nearly 2 years ago. Sales have been growing since January and I have finally been able to start paying myself a small amount each week. My brand is called Sandy Days NZ, I feel that as I’m growing my aesthetic is becoming more clear but I’m struggling to get the momentum and sales I need to really step up my business. I’ve just signed on a digital marketing agency that are doing my fb and insta ads but sales are only drips and drabs and I’m losing money every day as it’s still early days with the ads and I know they take time to work. I’m wondering if you have any organic ways to grow brand awareness or any online courses you can recommend to really start nailing and scaling the business. I don’t hold all the stock on hand to help lower the overheads but I’m wondering if this is a deterrent to potential customers as they have to wait 2-3 weeks for their products? My website is www.sandydays.co.nzthanks so much,Sarah

Hi team! I am loving the live chat sessions and even though I’m just starting out I’m finding them helpful! I was just wondering if the 1000 websites have been allotted yet? If so, any chance of any more?

Hi there, I have a small clothing/counselling business catering for plus size women operating for 2 years. Prior to the covid19 business was ok, however with the lockdown everything has come to a halt and i feel stuck of which way to go? should i work the marketing side of things on social media or do a quick sale to generate the business again. Any advise or information will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi Team,Over the last year or so, my Sister and I have been brainstorming, researching and learning what we need to, to start our little side business. Our services fall in beauty and fashion.Due to the lockdown, we’ve invested way more time in planning and studying etc however, we’re now unsure if we should even start a business that is close-contact whilst there is no cure for Covid-19 yet.Would you suggest we hold off on this business venture until the foreseeable future?Thank you all for your time to help all of us during these uncertain times.Warmest regards,xo

I run a made to measure formalwear business – suits, formal shoes, shirts etc.Our primary market are weddings and corporates. At this stage weddings have been canceled or postponed more often than not, an entire year. Corporates are working from home in the majority of cases. Current target market aren’t necessarily interested in buying our current product range, and although our suits are extremely affordable for made to measure from $590. It’s not a product like a coffee which is easy to pre purchase. We’ve decided to expand into things like sweaters, track suits, things people are wearing, and reselling to customers who’ve bought our other products from us in the past/new customers through Facebook ads. But there’s nothing innovative about these, we aren’t a stereotypical fashion brand that releases seasonal stuff. Unsure if there is anything else we can do or if this is even the right strategy to have cashflow to cover the next 6-8 months till we can start taking deposits for coming weddings/corporates come back/are still willing to spend?
